The camping close to home post prompted this one.
How do you folks live;
Urban
Suburban
Within village limits
Rural
I am rural I have 37 acres,25 leased to a farmer for corn or beans,about 4 of hardwoods with the remainder for the house and yard. I have a small creek and a small bluegill pond.
I "camp" many nights out back and almost never go to one of the 7 state parks within an hour of me.

Home base = house size lot in very small (700 population) town. Various places when hosting.

Within city limits of 9,000. 120 x 120 lot, camp all over state at State and private parks. Start they year 10 miles away at a SP

Rural,We live in the middle of our 17 acres half fields half woods and the population is less than 300 and I believe that counted the cows.

So far, we are the exception. We don't have anyplace to stay other than in the RV parked in a CG somewhere.

hmmm...right now home base is rural, about an acre and small house next to mom. Gone (hopefully) more than we are here. Family uses it when visiting mom. Looking to buy a "maintenance free" condo/row house out west (Albuquerque/Santa Fe) maybe next year.
