I recently acquired a used 2007 Northwood Desert Fox 17SV toy hauler as my very first RV.
I'm interested in using the ramp as an outside patio and screened-in porch.

1) If anyone else does this, what do you use for supports, and how many and where do you place them? I was picturing some sort of adjustable jacks to allow for uneven surfaces. Want something that will not damage or mar the outside surface of the ramp door and will distribute the weight on the ramp floor when folks are sitting /walking on it.

2) What aftermarket brand of screen room do you use or stay clear of? Pros and cons appreciated.

3) Also want a screened room to use with the awning. Any recommendations for brands on this appreciated as well.

4) If any other members also have this particular toy hauler, I'm eager for any tips and lessons learned, etc.

Thanks for any and all guidance.

The Ramp Room was a great investment and we use it almost every time we go out for more than 3 days. At night it becomes a garage for the toys, since the ramp closes up. If we have more than 10 guests, we throw a blowup bed in the outback room and viola, more accomodations.

Check out my install thread here!

The ShadePro kit comes with everything you need to make a ramp room.

Bought one new with our last HTTTH. Had that TT for 50,000 miles. Never used patio room. People who bought it got an unused patio ramp room. For us, we move more than just sit in one spot, and it wasn't worth the hassle. Also if we left and toured around with TV, leaving the TT unlocked didn't seem smart either.

Just some thoughts, hope you enjoy yours.

I pack along a couple jack stands and some misc wood blocks. Camp spots are pretty even ground (and most are gravel or dirt) so I can get the stands pretty even.
