I'm looking at a 2004 Alpine Coach 40ft 3-Slide Full Body Paint 26k Miles Cummins 8.9 ISL 400hp Turbo Diesel, Allison 6 Speed Automatic.
I know they are out of business (WRV) because i have had my Alpenlite for 6 years, i think it is one of the better 5ers made just thinking of going to the other side, i have always liked the looks and workmanship of the Apline and everything about them but never owned one, what are your thoughts on it. I know it is a full time coach but will be useing it about 9mo out of the year. Anyone have any input on mpg? maybe 8 to 10 right now i get 9 pulling and 18.4 solo. Thanks for your imput.

Alpine made a fine coach. I love working on them. The Cummins/Allison is a great combo. Last forever. Best milage is 8/10. If the price is right, you can't go wrong.

This one they are asking 89.9 and you worked on them and if you don't mined me asking what were there trouble spots if there were any outside of the small stuff. My 5er has been trouble free for the past 6 years.

I think Alpines are very nice but I think $90k is a lot for it but it probably depends on the flexibility (I was thinking mid 70s-80 but really haven't priced them much).

NADA for that Alpine is: low retail, $77,260, average retail $93,090. NADA wholesale is approximately 10% below low retail. Looks like the price may be a bit too high. I would offer $70,000 which is close to NADA wholesale and is a good place to start negotiations. Explain to the seller that the you looked at NADA pricing and that he has it priced too high.
