I guess I have been fortunate in that I have not had issues up to this point. I am sure that anything is possible, but I wouldn't let it slow us down from traveling.

Been at it since the mid 70s, never had anything stolen, but have been approched, maybe twice in a rest area by people needing gas money or claimed to be broke down. There are too many other things to worry about worse than this.

Frankly, I'm a lot more scared of encountering someone that thinks that the whole world beyond their driveway is populated with "the scum of the earth" than I am of just about anything else I can think of including Death itself.

If that's what you think of the folks you're likely to encounter, namely ME, please stay home in your bunker.

I don't recall that I said that everyone beyond my driveway is the scum of the earth.......Have you not heard about crack heads and druggies that are always looking for something they can sell. I hope you are not calling yourself the scum of the earth........unless you are the one that would be ripping everybody off..... I wanted some real output from RVer's that have been on the road so I can learn from them...

We never had an issue on the road, but at some camping sites we had a cooler stolen, chairs taken etc.

People walking through sites always annoys the******out me, I have see and asked someone to leave our campsite...he felt it was ok to sit at our picnic table and open the cooler and help himself to a couple of cold drinks while watching the water.

One night around midnight we stopped at a Wal Mart for DW and DD to run in and pick up a few things. I stayed in the MH with the kids and thought I would take a little nap while they were shopping. About the time I dozed off, here they come back in and all excited.

While shopping my daughter noticed a guy pull a gun out. They ran out and within a minute there were cops coming from all directions.

Don't think anything happened as they walked out with the guy a few minutes later.

Wife and daughter then decided that they didn't need to spend any money anyway. I was OK with that and we hit the road again.
