Heading over in early May and wondering if 50 or 88 is the best route.

If Hwy. 88 is clear, I would go that route. Just my 2 cents worth. Have Fun! Jackson Rancheria has a great campground.

Hwy. 88 is the most direct route and it's a good 2 lane road. Have fun

We've used US 50 to go to 49er Village in Plymouth and we thought 88 may be more direct to Jackson.
Think we'll try that route and I'm sure it has as many curvy parts as US 50 does.
