If your flange only has two slots, remove the screws securing it to the floor, and then using a screw driver or drift punch and a hammer, try tapping on it to turn it to where you need it. Once in place, reinstall the screws. Most toilet flanges rotate around the center hub.

I'll just add that you have to consider the height also 'before' you start the installation.

I took out my old one, installed the new one, no sweat!
That is until I realized the water lines did not match up because I bought a taller toilet. AND you can't find that particular water lines and connectors in hardware stores! Had to take it out, put the old one back in and head on the down the road until I found an RV store.

So before you start check if you are going to need to change the water inlet hoses so you can have the correct ones on hand. Other than the hoses it is a real simple swap out.

Consider the height not just for the water lines, but for the clearance. You might not be able to open the cabinet door behind the toilet if it is to high.

When I replaced my OEM toilet with an Aqua Magic Style Plus, I also had to extend the water line. I added an inline shut off valve, an elbow, and a foot or so of PEX tubing to the existing Quest gray tubing, all with parts off the shelf at my local Ace Hardware. Home Depot and Lowes also carry all the needed fittings and PEX tubing.

When I changed the toilet in my '96 Bounder I had the same issue.....I used a Dremel tool to make new slots in the plastic flange.....

I called Thetford and they recommended what toilet I needed as a direct replacement to my OEM. New model is taller so I went to Home Depot with the fittings I had and they hooked me up with flex hose (like used at home) and the right couplings, everthing just hand screwed together, toilet fit original flange and good to go.
