Golden Shores RV Park is the only RV park right in the city. Kinda pricey though. It's also small-ish and can be noisy.
Bolsa Chica State Beach has Water/Electric and is literally right on the beach, but it's $$ and I believe they only allow a 14 day stay.
East Shore RV Park in San Dimas would be my first choice. Great location, amenities for long term stays (laundromat, mail services, etc), full hookups w/cable, very reasonable prices, and long-term stays allowed (up to 6 months if I remember correctly).
It's about 20-30 minutes from Long Beach depending on traffic.

As a Long Beach resident and RVr I can atest to the comment above......the only RV park around here is the Golden Shores....after that the closest would be Canyon RV park in Yorba Linda off the 91 about 20 miles away...or Newport Dunes down the 405 will cost a fortune....could go North and try Dockweiler state beach is in the Los Angeles County system....good luck.
Unfortunately the LA area is not real RV friendly, Dockweiler has a 14 day limit also. Canyon is very nice, we will be there the weekend after Easter with a RV.net rally. If you don't need to commute during prime drive time it won't be bad but if you are looking at a commute for 8-5 work, Shoreline is your best bet.
