I was researching a loose staple problem & found this section of threads. I was doing the monthly roof inspection & in the center of the roof of my 07 Cougar, there is a staple that has come up (roof looks like there's a small teepee in the center). Guess the word from the dealer & factory is just use a board & hammer it pound it back down. If by chance it cuts the EDPM Brite-Ply rubber, just seal it with Etrenabond or Dicor. Correct!
