I have Sirus, and have used it a LOT in the past 5 years, but have just reciently started using Pandora, it, for old folks type music, lays Sirus in the shade. The only problem I have with it is you've gotta have an internet connection.

I have XM Radio AND Pandora on my phone. If you have a smart phone (Android, iPhone, Blackberry) you can download the Pandora app and use it anywhere you have mobile phone reception. However, it uses data so if you have a limited data plan, it can eat through it quickly. I have Sprint who has unlimited data so its not an issue for me.
Even better than Pandora is Spotify. It costs $10 a month but it gives you unlimited music. Basically anything that has EVER been released is available on Spotify. As soon as a new CD is released in stores or on iTunes, it is on Spotify. Since I normally buy 1-2 CD's a month at $10 a piece, it pays for itself.
I'm spoiled with music. XM in the truck, Spotify, Pandora and iTunes on my Mac and Phone which are connected through the Aux port along with my XM in my truck.
Also, Spotify doesn't always require data to use. If you have Wi-Fi, you can sync a playlist to your phone, and it saves it there so you can play it back anytime with or without internet connection.
I love Pandora, however be prepared to spend more at iTunes if you use it. I keep hearing new music that I like & that "buy" button is awfully easy to push!

When I was in high school (Class of '68) some guys from the neighborhood formed a band, recorded some songs, and one of them hit-- they became a one hit wonder.
So, a few months ago I was trying the free version of Spotify, and as a test, I searched for that song. Ten seconds later, for the first time in forty years, I was listening to "(Just Like) Romeo and Juliet", by The Reflections. I've been paying Spotify ten bucks a month ever since, that is some pretty awesome technology....

Last time I checked, it was free to use on a computer, $9.99 per month if you want to use it on Ipads, Iphones, and similar portable devices.
BTW, google "Spotify Playlists" and you'll find all kinds of sites with thousands of playlists people have put together; with one touch you can play their list.
