Michelin does not make a 295x75 they would make a 295x80

This thread is filled with bogus information. Why don't we all go to the manufacturers web sites and get it correct? Then check the availability of the tires you have chosen.
I had a difficult time getting 295/80/22.5 Mich XZA2. They were on backorder at that time. None of the local tire dealers of any brand had this size in stock except for the G670 Goodyear that I would not take for free unless I was allowed to sell them.

Bluebird I am the OP of this subject. I was wondering if u waited for the backorder to come through or if you went a different route? thanks. Also if you did get the Michelin what was the cost and how long ago ..

This was about five years ago, so not of much use now. It was an independent dealer in Bristol, Va. They put in order and after a couple or three weeks still no tires. They told me to call Michelin customer service in South Carolina. I did. Three days later the dealer called and said the tires were there. $540 each mounted, machine balanced and all taxes.

Continental makes this size, but again, at that time, the dealer did not know when he could get them if at all.

I got 6 michelin tires at cost from a friend of mine at $2800.00 and another 400.00 to get them mounted and balanced. Michelin 295/80R 22.5.

There are several issues in selecting new tires.

First and most important is the weight of the coach. You really should do a 4 corner weighing to see what load capacity is needed at each axle.

Next you need to consider clearances if you are changing sizes from OEM. And you need to remember that not all coach manufacturers put the best choice tires on their coaches; in some cases the tires are over-loaded on an empty coach.

You might want to look at the notes on tires link in my signature below. I did a lot of research before selecting my tires for my coach. I'm no tire expert but I think I got this right.

I'd appreciate any suggestions from Topflite51 since he has real-life experience with tires...
