We are looking at trading in our Coleman Pop Up for an 2013 Gulf Stream Ameri-lite 259BH. Up until today, I had not heard of Ameri-lite, but then again, I have not been an avid rv'er/camper. Can anyone provide any info/reviews on Ameri-lite? Are they reputable, will I be making a costly mistake? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Most trailers today are close to the same in quality. What is hard is finding a good dealer. Find something you like, do some research to make sure your TV can pull the trailer and educate yourself on what makes a good deal on that make and model. I also went from a popup. Go for it!

Last year we bought a Amerilite 25BH, the non slide version of what you are looking at. So far we love it. It's not the fanciest but everything does what it is suppose to.
We had electric for our test run and for 9 days had record setting temps near 100 degrees, the AC and fridge did fine. Then we moved up higher to another park with electric and had night time temps in the 20's. The furnace was fine and we never froze up.
After that we took it boondocking and again everything worked fine even though it was freezing every night. We pulled out the day before they got a foot of snow in the area.
I will say be prepared to get a foam topper for the queen mattress or just replace it. It's just a sheet cover over the springs and you feel every one of them.
We didn't have the option but wished we had gotten the two door fridge.
SEnd me a PM if you have any specific questions.

We had an '08 Amerilite 27BH that we bought new. Spent over 300 nights in it, pulled it approximately 15,000 miles. It held up well even with significant usage by GC. Only reason we traded was to get a bigger TT and whoever gets the Amerilite will be getting a good, solid TT. We really never had any problems other than routine maintenance items. If you like the floorplan go for it.

We have had our Amerilite 21MB for a year. Used it for one long trip (3 weeks 4000 miles) and many short ones. We are very happy with it, have had zero problems.
The mattress is bad, get a good topper for it. Just buy a standard length and cut it off.
The only construction issue that I see is the location of the water pump in ours. It is in a very inaccessable spot between the fresh water tank and the front wall of the trailer. Whoever eventually replaces it will have a very awkward job. At that point we will move it to a better spot.

Bought our 2010 255BH with a slide last year. We've used it alot and love it. Definately add the topper on the mattress. We added a 5.5" topper for $179.00 from rvmattresses.com. Its great. No problems to complain about so far. Best TT for the price by far!
Added a 4000w champion generator which powers everything when needed. Also spent 8 days in it in the yard following hurricane irene last summer when we were without power.

I have a 2008 Amerilite 25BH and have loved it. We have had it 2 years with no problems. We put a 4" memory foam topper on the mattress. The water pump is in a bad spot and makes it hard to winterize it. Also, the low point drain took me some time to find.
Question for you Amerilite owners. My lens cover came off on my rear marker light. I can not find a part number on the remaining one anywhere. Does anyone know which lens cover part I need? I have to order online. The brake lights are optronics but don't see part numbers on them either.

I purchased my Ameri Lite new in 2004. Since then I have spent over 200 nights camping in it. It has been towed nearly 10,000 miles. There were a few minor issues such as brake assemblies and a hot water heater since purchased. Nothing I consider major or out of the ordinary. It isn’t a top of line coach, but has served me very well. I can’t stress enough; preventive maintenance will keep your new Ameri Lite in tip-top shape. I have no regrets about my purchase. Two times last year I was asked if my Ameri Lite was new. I smile and say, yep in 2004
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Bought our 07 24BH used and it has worked outstanding for us.
X2 on the floorplan- if you like it and it works get it. Most of the trailers we looked at seemed to be of the same construction.
X2 on the mattress. Get a topper- you back will thank you.
