We owned a 50x100 campsite when we lived in Nebraska. Took years to sell it when we tried having to pay dues and taxes on it the whole time.
If this style of camping appeals to you and you don't mind closing up every time you leave, go for it. The tenting won't last long if left open full time.

I'm curious what a lot like this sells for?

Utilities metered? Part of an association fee?

Hi Chuck, the lot is $5000, association fee is $400 year, includes water, garbage pickup and black tank cleanout twice a week. Does not include electric, which is metered. Taxes are less than $100 a year.
But, it has all the things we love when we go camping. Near enough to go after work if he wants. Has orv trails that we can access right from the site and 5 interconnecting lakes we can kayak on. Plus (and this is a big plus) there are tons of activities for the grandchildren. We have not bought the lot yet, did consider a seasonal lot, but we do think this may be best for us.
