I enjoyed the newest issue as well. I always did like them, but found this last one to be more informative. I also never minded the ads. I like seeing them, just to get an idea of what is new out there in the market. I prefer print mags to online ones anyway...ads and all.

Because this magazine has now integrated the Camping World Catalog with the Highways articles so completely that it has become either a catalog with some nice stories spread all over the place or a few nice stories with too many ads. Either way, it is so frustrating it is unreadable. The next one goes straight to the recycling bin.

That's pretty much how all print mags are. The ads are how they afford to print them.

Mike

My response is that I sm putting all of the resources into adding real benefits like fuel and campingworld discounts

The magazine cannot be a financial drain like it has it years past

So, the book is what it is in order to cover costs

It is tough to judge the quality of Highways on my part. I quit receiving the mag last fall and REPEATED inquiries resulted in assurances of the problem was solved. There have been no lapses in my membership for years. That may change at renewal time!! Yep - STILL WAITING

Marcus - so if readers don't agree with you, thinking there are way too many ads (and there are), your answer is to opt out - not that you will try to add more substance (technical articles, how to, or even travel)....IMO, that's not a very good answer. Eventually, folks will get tired of all the ads, and they may opt out.

I will say not all is negative, the magazine is better is some aspects - the quality of the paper for one. But, I will agree, it didn't take long to read because of all the ads.

Marcus,

The discounts are appreciated, and I understand it's a business...but would it cost that much more (keeping all the ads), if the magazine was a few pages longer because of an additional article or 2?

Thanks for your time.

Mike
