Just a Heads up about crossing back into the USA from Mexico at Lukeville!

Always use the extreme Right Hand Lane and be sure to get over early so that You have a clear Shot at the Narrow Passage!

We came through today and the Green Arrows were on in the Second and Third Lanes Only. Lane 1 was Red as was the extreme Right Hand Lane.

Too Late the Border Guards Directed Me over which resulted in My Not being able to clear all those stupid Concrete Pilings. The Guy did attempt at guiding Me through but couldn't judge the angles resulting in a Scrape and the Removal of My Right Hand Side View Camera.

The Damage doesn't appear all that serious and the Camera can be replaced but it should Not have happened in the first place.

There were NO Signs indicating that Large Vehicles should "Keep Right" and the Guards were far too slow in sizing up the situation and getting Me to Move Over!

I have a Report in with the Border Services. Hopfully They will reimburse Me for the damages!

3 Months of safe travel while in Mexico and "Smack" 3 Feet across the US Border!

Nice blog. Glad you had a good trip.

Take a look at ours, especially from Puerto Vallarta.

What are the lineups like? We plan to cross around noon tomorrow, before Semana Santa rush, hopefully. Staying at Edgar & Annas tonight. Anyone had any issues getting cash back for vehicle permit. i paid in cash.

No line ups when we went through. Not much traffic on the road heading North at least via Lukeville.

Snow River, if you are talking Nogales I have no idea of the situation there.

I went through the center lane yesterday & had about 2" of clearance on each mirror. The steel poles on each side that you have to drive through are all scarred up from motorhome mirrors.

I went through Lukeville today. about a 25 minute wait. i was forced into the center lane, it was the only one open. Tight but i was careful & no damage.

BTW I paid my vehicle deposit in cash & they issued cash back, no problem

Stayed at Edgar & Anna's last night, they finally got married a few months back.
