This is our first TT - we've been out twice now and it's been great! Here are a few pics from our outing this past weekend.

Thanks! We've enjoyed it so far and look forward to a lot more camping with it in the future. Still wondering if the back of the Armada should sag that much. They say it has a factory air leveler - if it does I can't tell.

I had that problem with our old armada. We ended up figuring out the best way to adjust the WDH was w/ the armada turned off and auto-leveling suspension not engaged. We did all of our measurements w/ the auto-leveling suspension off and got the measurements as close as possible and then went and weighed everything to check the weights. That got us the closest to our goal. Whenever we hooked up, we would back up and as soon as the TT was on the ball, we would turn the armada off before the auto-leveling suspension could kick in. We would get the WDH hooked up and then turn the armada back on. The auto leveling suspension would then kick in and we would be pretty close to level w/ just a little sag. You will hear the auto-leveling kick in, listen carefully, it sounds kinda like an air compressor. Stand near the rear and listen for it. Once you are aware of it, you will always be aware of it. We never did like how our Armada handled our Zinger but some say it is because of not being able to properly align the armada.... I say it was just outmatched by our TT. The TT was over on tongue weight and payload capacity but under on overall towing capacity (TT has GVWR of 7700 lbs but is somewhere around 6700-7000 lbs loaded ready to go). We were buffeted all over the road by semis, cars, and SUV's passing us. The TT pushed the armada around and down a hill, I tried everything, I put in a prodigy P3 brake controller, E rated tires, you name it, they suggested it, I tried it. A lot of money and 1 year later, I traded in the Armada on the F250. I really hope yours is a better match, and I know others towing with the armada have a great experience towing. I wish this for you. For me, the F250 tows like a dream and I don't regret the trade, just wish I had done it before dumping all that money into my old armada (and I loved my armada). Good luck getting it set up better.

I'll try it with the Armada off and see if that makes any difference. For our last tow I did increase the chain length by a link on the WDH bars and that seemed to help some. As far as the buffeting when being passed I noticed the same thing. I'd love a 250 - especially since I could get one with the 5th wheel pre-prep package. Hey! Never know if we decide to upgrade to something larger

Now I guess I need to welcome you to the addiction. You will always want a bigger better tv and TT/5er. We love our diesel. We love our zinger. We already talk about someday needing a 1 ton and a 5er because they are nice. We might do that someday, but we plan on this being a 10 yr matched rig.

You auto leveler is not working or did not have a chance to work. After being hooked up, start the Armada with it sitting still for about 4 minutes. It should be completley level if it works or have it. I do not think the base Armadas came with auto level if that is what you have. You also may have to fine tune your WD hitch. Way too much sag in the rear if a correctly setup hitch even if no auto leveler.

We have a 2004 SE with factory towing package. I recently had new tires and brakes put on it and I asked them to take a look to see if it had the air leveler. They said it did and that it was strange because Nissan only put a single sensor for it on the left rear wheel instead of both (or something like that).

So hook it up while it's off and start it and let it sit for about 4 minutes and it should level out? Or I should at least be able to hear it trying to level out.

Thanks.
