When my sister and her husband want to go somewhere with us, we look for campgrounds that have cabins to rent. This summer we are going to meet in Colorado and they are renting a condo within walking distance of the RV resort we are staying in.

This very well could be each to their own situation. We purchased a 23' with the Queen bed...and no bunks. We do own a nice cabin tent...and have and will loan it out to whoever wants to go along. Happy to have company share time inside...but bedtime its just us. Gil NoCal

My best friend fixed me up with his wife's best friend, and 20+ years later, both couples are still together.
We've done about everything together, except buy campers.
We have tent camped together a bunch, vacationed together and even almost had kids together. Ours are 10 and 4. Theirs' are 10 and 6.
We have invited them to camp with us many times. Our TT has a great floor plan and actually sleeps 8 quite well. It eventually led to them buying their own pop up last year. We are glad to have invited and shared out TT with them. Now, I get to be the "old sage" and show him the ropes.
Anybody else? Probably no invite.

As suggested above, look for a campground that has cabins they can rent.

It's a personal preference. I have zero problems sharing my trailer with friends or family and have hosted in my small trailer many times. I have even loaned it to a good friend a few times. No problem on my end... However, if it makes you uncomfortable, then just say so... If they are friends they will understand. If you can't be honest with them then I understand why you wouldn't want to camp with them. Of course if you are worried about their feelings then tell them you have IBS and that you are up and down all night... Thus you don't feel comfortable having people stay with you

We carry a tent with as much space as the TT that can be used as a guest house. The bed is bigger and there is more room to move around on a rainy day. It's called the mountain manor. It is 10x20 and even has it's own room for the potty.
If the weather turned bad the TT can sleep 6 but there wouldn't be much room to move

IF I invite friends to camp with me I fully exoect them to sleep on the the J sofa. We love it when the TT is full, and are looking in to getting a bunkhouse to fit more in.

The reason the wife and I purchased our first PUP was because we love camping. The most we have had with us is two of the grandchildren for two days and nights. I love to go alone with just the wife, it gives me a chance to unwind, even though I am retired and stay at home. I am hitched up right now, ready to head out in the morning. The first night it will be just me and my little furry buddy, our dog Benjamin. The DW will join me on Thursday night after work. The neighbors asked me what I was going to do camping...I said, sit under the awning and take it easy. If any of the adult children ever want to camp with us, I will throw in my tent. We camped last year with some of the kids and their family when we had our PUP..they had a tent, but we ended up doing the cooking and cleaning up after. So....I just like to camp alone with the DW..that is about the way it is.
