We will be traveling through Augusta this Sunday last day of Masters. We will be traveling on I-20 and the Bobby Jones Expressway down to US 1. I was wondering what time I need to be through there to miss heavy traffic. Thanks.

You should be fine anytime as long as you're staying on I-20 and I-520. Traffic will pick up after the tournament is over around Washington Rd. and Wheeler Rd. exits, but recent upgrades to both interstates will allow for smooth flow. The tournament usually wraps up around 5-6 p.m., so the earlier you get through Augusta the better.

Safe travels.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. I will plan to be by there by 4.

If you really don't want to take a chance on any traffic, you could get off I-20 at Exit 6 in South Carolina and take I-520 through North Augusta and bypass the traffic completely. It's finished all the way around Augusta now and you would be approaching US 1 from the other direction. It's only about 10 minutes farther from that direction.

samsphones...are you heading from NC? Follow bigdaddogg1's advice and bypass going down I-20. You will bypass everything. Stay on it until you get to US-1 (Deans Bridge Rd).

If Tiger is leading, there won't be any traffic until after the final putt is made. Anyone else, you takes your chances. :-)

Just an update, we took bigdaggogg1's advise and got off at exit 6 in SC, virtually no traffic on that road. Thanks for the advise.
