22 & 26 here with an 06 Starcraft & 02 Burb. Ski instructors in the winter(west coast), Whitewater Raft/Zipline/Mountbike/Hiking guides in the summers(east). Previously co-sold startup/have rental in PA to get started. Tons of adventures & routes inbetween. No kids. Setup trail for 2 cats & 1 large dog. DO IT NOW BEFORE YOU GET OLD AND WRINKLY!

PS. Most "old & leaky trailer livers" are in general people that dont choose to live in an RV, they have too financially. You will see young/old & everything in between doing leaking nowadays!

28 here and bought my 17' Casita travel trailer a month ago. I'll be living in it with my current roommate for four months at a local RV park starting at the end of April while I get things sorted, then the plan is to travel after that.

Like Freeballin I'm planning to take seasonal jobs to support myself initially with travel in between, but am working on developing location independent income streams that can support me from anywhere.

I'm going to be traveling solo, and may or may not adopt a cat to come along for the ride.

Becky,
DO get a cat... but make sure it is one that can handle traveling. Take it for a ride in your tow vehicle before you adopt it.

It sure would have been nice when we were young and full timing back in the 70's to have the internet, Sat. phones ect. Then we had Marine radio phone. When living in the Bahamas I would call a friend with a sea plane. who would fly in things or pick me up and fly me to Nassu. Where I had a friend with an air service fly me to where ever. Not a low budget operation. But could have done most of it on the internet. Kind of makes me wish I could do it all over again with the new stuff.. Wish you the best of luck and enjoy. There is nothing like it...

And I guess I'll be "that guy" today....

Your blog ideas really scare me. Pleassseee research a bit more before you dive in. Lots of misconceptions on the blog about fulltime RV life.

Example, you decided on a motorhome because insurance would be cheaper than a TV + trailer.

(Motorhome & Small Car/multiple mopeds)insurance vs (Truck/SUV & Trailer) insurance. Pretty sure those numbers are going to be comparable in price or even the moho/car deal will cost more monthly. Also, you will have two motors to maintain. Not always ideal for us most frugal RVers.

Finally, make sure your getting your insurance quotes on Fulltimers RV insurance, not just regular RV insurance.

Good luck & I hope it all come together for you!

Thanks but I've done my research and we are going to have a moped which insurance will run about $150 and a motorhome with fulltime and comprehensive which is $500/year. I pay $1500/month for liability on my van. Can you imagine a full size pick up?

Anyway, good luck! I will be watching the moho renovations as ya go. Enjoy the new home.
