You would not expect such slick interior decor inside that indistrial-grade truck. Probably a very durable rig.

Japanese diesels here are very frugal,as a a whole and are a good basis for a Class C motohome. The Truck come with either a AMT or Automatic Transmission , most prefer the AMT.

Extremely durable indeed and ride is better than either the E350 or F450 based units(it is heavier a 19,000lb GVWR against a 14,500lb GVWR for a F450 unit}..Handling is considerably better than both, despite it's origins.

The interiors are nice, but the outside looks like a garbage truck!

Looks good.
How would the engine be serviced. The T5500 chassis we have here have a tilt cab?

I love the styling. The fridge looks like a standard house model... so wonder if it also works on propane?

Outside North America conventional trucks are rare. Only Australia, New Zealand and South Africa have some Conventional HDT's. MDT's are all Cabovers, Light Trucks the same. Scania and MAN produce together roughly the same or more HDT Cabover "Garbage Trucks" globally than conventional Class 8's sold in North America. This does not include the vast production of Volvo and Daimler. The irony is these European manufacturers Volvo and Daimler produce over 50% of all Conventional trucks sold in North America. Bottom line there is a lot of "Garbage Trucks" out there!
