We have an Amazon prime account and a roku player on our TV to stream videos from Amazon. I much prefer to search for videos, read the reviews, and determine which ones I might want to watch using the laptop/Amazon website vs the roku as it's much faster.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to add a video to my 'video library' on Amazon? (video library will show up on the roku player)
When I click on the video while signed-in on the Amazon website it gives me the option to play now, buy episodes, etc. And there is a drop down menu which allows me to add the video to my wish list, my shopping list, or my gift list, but no option to add it to my video library.

Thanks

I believe the Video Library is only for videos you've purchased, not for streaming. This has further information.

I love Amazon a lot, but their streaming is less than user friendly and has a long way to go to compete with Netflix.

We download movies from Amazon all the time to our TIVO. Works great and we have 30 days to watch and once started we have 24 hours to finish.

You're starting at the wrong end.

Start with the Roku menu and find the Amazon selection. You will probably have to let it update. When you select Amazon on the Roku menu it will guide you.

After the update the Roku confirms that you are a Prime subscriber and it's very user friendly.

The Roku gives you an option of linking it with your Amazon online account. Once you have done that everything you have purchased at Amazon for streaming will show up in your videos on the Roku. We purchased the 4th season of Breaking Bad and were permitted one viewing of each episode. Everything worked well and the streaming was quite smooth.

I have Amazon prime and a Sony media player

I had to connect to amazon get a code #
enter the code in my amazon account via the PC without taking the Sony off line
I had to have both connected to the internet

anyway like it was said only purchased videos show up in my video library

the stuff free with prime has to be searched for

and I agree the PC is much easier to use than the media player menus

Options, always have options, and the journey goes much smoother

Ok thanks for the replies. I'm hooked into Amazon just fine and I can watch streaming videos and step through the video menus. I can search for a title with roku by pecking out one letter at a time on the remote, but being able to fill/manage my queue (video library) using the laptop (like I do with netflix) makes much more sense. That way I can go right to the library when I get on roku and immediately access those videos I've screened and selected.

But it sounds like streaming videos can't be placed in the library to queue them up, so it is not to be.
