I wouldn't worry about it. You didn't give the guy a forged or altered title under the guise of a valid title. You just gave him a bill of sale that he knew he can't register it with. Whatever the buyer does is his own decision. Even if he did get caught doing something, how can that get back to your dad? It was never titled in Dad's name & he sold through bill of sale for non road use anyway.

All you are getting here on this forum are suggestions and opinions from people that may or may not be qualified to give you the answer you are looking for. Why don't you contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles and get the correct information instead of worrying about it? Probably not a very big deal..

No worries, your Dad din't sell a registered vehicle but a collection of vehicle parts. If he had misrepresented the trailer as ready to be hauled, or said he had misplaced the title, there might have been some problems but the buyer would suffer the brunt of it, not the seller.
Your State's DMV will have answers to most of your questions but tell your Dad not to worry, he hasn't done anything wrong.

Does any one own a 2006 Monaco Diplomat? If so, would you recommend it? What are the good and bad points, interesting points?

Call the folks that administrate the licensing laws in your State and put the worrying to rest.
In MN, you could apply for a "rebuilt" or "homemade" registration. That would be done before the sale in the best of situations. The State would not seek the seller to be responsible for any non-registration or liability, the buyer assumes all of that at the time of sale. That's why title transfers are dated and signed.
