Hi all,
Switching from tent camping to a Jayco X17Z ... picking it up on Tuesday ... yippee!
We're wondering which way to go for bedding.
What do you use ... sleeping bags? Or do you actually make the bed with sheets and duvet?
Does it all fall down when you fold up the ends ... or do you strike the beds before moving?
Hoping for some advice from the veterans.
Cheers,
--n

We had sleeping bag (s) with the zip out linings.
No bed making and unmaking...easy to deal with with tent ends and easy to wash after a trip.

We just use the sleeping bags that we used in our PUP. They are quick to put on the bed & quick to roll up when it's time to go. They travel on our folded down dinette table. We have put a fitted sheet over the mattresses to help protect them. They stay in place when we close the beds up.

My wife and I are Canadian and we like to sleep cool with the occasional leg out from under the covers, or in my case I sleep outside of the covers at the start then migrate under in the morning hours when it gets cooler.
So even though making the bed in the hybrid is a pain in the rear we don't want sleeping bags.

We use full bedding including quilts that my wife made with fabrics that she picked to match the cushions in the HTT. We also put a memory foam and heated mattress pad in the front bed. Everything comes out when we fold the bed up. When we set up, I stand outside under the canvas so that I can tuck everything in on the canvas side. After the bed is made, we snap up the canvas.

I'm new here, just got a 2007 Kodiak a week ago. Only slept in it one night, but we used bedding. I think when I travel by myself though I'll use a sleeping bag, much easier when the wife isn't with me.

We used sheets and quilts when we had our PUPs and our HTT. We did what Crossman61 says that they do...have someone on the outside to help make the beds. It is a pain when trying to do it by yourself.

We use regular fitted bed sheets. We also leave the bed made up when we fold in the bed ends. The trick is as you fold the mattress you need to be fast, yes you need to straighten the top comforter but that is all. We traveled last summer and moved just about everyday without any issues.
