I have the same setup on my Lance 1685. push up on the tabs and pull the flap open at the same time. You need 3 hands to do this...lol. They're very stiff when new. My first time I thought I was going to snap the tabs off. I'm going to spray a little sillicone spray on the tabs to see if it gets easier .

Happy RVing!
Holy cow, was that ever hard to get open. Once I got the vent open I could only get one of tabs to snap back into place. Give me the little rotating tabs anyday.
Too funny. We took our new TT for its maiden voyage this past weekend and that is the only problem we had. I felt really dumb calling my dealer to ask them how the heck to get it open when we returned, as I tried every which way and was really afraid to break the darn thing. He told me they just flip down, and are tight when new. I will try it again this weekend. Great post!
