I've installed 2 Pullrites with SuperRails in two different trucks. There may be some frame drilling required depending on your truck. If you use the SuperRails, you will have to drill 4 holes in your bed as well.
Overall, if you have average skills and can handle a drill and wrench set you can do your own. The key thing is measuring accurately to do the install correctly.
I won't be doing it, but I have friends that are extremely mechanical for a living....

I did my B&W Turnover Ball alone, and helped my brother do his. FWIW, the GMC was much easier than the Ford. :-) Both took about 4 hours. Worst part was nerving myself to drill a 4" hole in my bed. :-)
