Having techinical issues here ... I recently sold a '98 Jamboree Class C motorhome and picked up a 2006 Eclipse Attitude Toy Hauler. Both RV's have onboard generators which work perfectly. I purchased a Yamaha EF2400iSHC which I prefer to use - I can put it away from our camp and it is much quieter. This setup worked perfectly with the Jamboree motorhome, but it is not powering the Toy Hauler ...
When I plug the Toy Hauler in to my house, everything works perfectly - no problems there.
The Yamaha generator works perfectly on it's own. I can plug things in to it directly and they work, and I have used an electical tester and it is reading 110.
It stands to reason that I should be able to plug the Toy Hauler in to the generator and I should be in business, but I have ZERO power in the Toy Hauler when plugged in to the generator - no lights, no anything.
I have checked fuses and circuit breakers, no problems there. If I unplug the Toy Hauler from the generator and plug it right in to my house, the power comes on.
Any ideas what could be wrong here??
Thanks in advance for any help you may have for me!

is there some sort of on board surge protector or something that has been installed that may be reading the generator as an open-ground?
Or is the circuit breaker on the generator itself tripped? (motor still runs - no power coming out). Do other devices like a fan or something run off the generator?

Hi,
Does the new RV have GFI breakers? If so that may be the problem.

The fuse panel does not show any kind of surge protector - just fuses and circuit breakers. The generator has an auto reset ... all indications are that it is working just fine (it only has 20 or so hours on it). It seems that the generator is not producing the same amount of power as my house ... is this possibly the problem? Is there some kind of converter necessary that I need to run in between the generator and the RV? I know that my generator says "converter" on it, and there is a converter below the fuse box on the RV ...
Thanks for your help!!

There is one GFI breaker in the bathroom, and it has not popped out - it seems fine.

Hi,
Does the Toy Hauler have an energy management system?
Is there a transfer switch?
I'd check the output of the Yamaha with a polarity tester, and compare that to shore power and to the built in genny.
