Coffee snob here. Good coffee is important for me, especially when on vacation in the RV! I am using a French press now, but would like an under cabinet drip coffee maker. Any recommendations for one that makes good coffee?

We have fairly limited counter space in our rig.

Does the coffee maker itself really have much to do with how good the coffee is? (seriously I don't know any better)

This is a nice one if you boon-dock much.

EDIT: Found the same one at Amazon for $81.79

As far as I've seen Black & Decker is the only one with an under cabinet coffee maker.
BUT, we've seen a lot of problems with cabinets over the coffee maker either delaminating/warping from the hot vapor from the coffee maker.

I don't know of any UC model that makes as good coffee as many stand-up models. Just store it somewhere and bring it out when you need it.

Must be pretty small counters in your rig.

Good coffee has to start with good water.

We just bought a 12 cup basic drip Mr Coffee with on off switch (no clock, no electronics that the inverter will fry). We leave it on our counter using the cord to keep it from sliding. Where the carafe sits it has a lip so the carafe won't slide out. Before we bought this one, we used to sit the coffee maker in the sink when we traveled and put it on the counter when we stopped. Agree that it all starts with good water. If the water is not good at the campground where we stay, we buy bottled water.

This might give you some ideas. I like my coffee brew with a Bunn drip coffee maker. It took up alot of counter space. Here's how I solvd that problem.

Maker eating counter space.

Coffee maker elevator mounted to wall.

All set to brew a pot.

Up off the counter in serving position.

The maker doesn't move while traveling. I do however store the pot in a safe place when traveling.
