Hi, Thinking of buying a 1 owner, garaged 2001 Beaver Marquis Jasper 40'. It is the 505 Cat, Hydronic heating, Aquahot, Silver leaf electronics.. I have never owned a diesel or a coach with all the upgraded sytems like this... Just looking for thoughts? It has 55k miles, I hope to purchase for 95k

The Beaver Marquis is a gorgeous beautiful coach. They don't make 'em like that anymore unless you get into the million dollar class. The 2001's were still two slides otherwise it would cost more. I'd be surprised if you can buy it for much of a discount off the asking price if the condition warrants it.

Nice coach with awesome features as standard equipment. Check the date codes on the tires as that will set you back almost $4k. Factor that into your negotiations....Dennis

Yes, that is a nice coach. I remember looking at a brand new Beaver Marquis in Unidilla, Georgia at Beaksley RV. I was really impressed with the cabinet work and how shiney they were. The TV would fold right up into the ceiling. Very good engine and over all a very nice coach. Little on the heavy side because of the granite tops, but it has the power to handle all that.
55K miles is barely broken in.
Good luck

NADA has low retail for the MH as $121K. New price was nearly $500K. As always do a very thorough mechanical check. Look at service records.

If a close inspection tells you it is well maintained and in good working order, don't hesitate to grab it!

Agree with others, the Beaver Marquis was a beautifully constructed coach with many high end features. If condition is good and nothing jumps out at you as far as neglect then I would not hessitate to grab it.

If close inspection of condition comes out clean, or with an understanding of what it would take to get things where you want them. That vintage Marquis is a long term keeper.

We looked at a 2003 unit, but it had been neglected and abused - real sad, as it had been such a fine coach in it's day!!!

Best of luck,

FYI...NADA Book has the coach at $115k (2 slide) and $113k (single slide). This is Wholesale/Trade in amount. 95k looks exciting.
