In cold weather I use 2 1500 watt heaters, one plugged into the trailer wiring & the other on an extension cord run through a window. That'll keep us warm in outside temps below freezing. My furnace very seldom runs, perhaps in the morning to take the chill out of the air. I have thermal windows which also helps a lot.

Yes, the 120 volt circuits are sized corrrectly with no 14 for 15 amp circuits, and no. 12 for 20 amp circuits
A small 1500 watt space heater is ok to use, however don't use it on the same circuit at the same time you have another high wattage usage appliance, such as a toaster, or hair dryer turned on, or you will pop the breaker

WOW it is amazing what angles basically the same thread takes once it gets started .... Look at THIS ONE for a totally different take on running heaters on TT circuits.
I guess it's just whose button gets pushed

That thread may just add to any confusion the OP has about the integrity of electrical circuits and running his heater. It is more a discussion about the quality of receptacles than about the capacities of the wiring in a TT.
FWIW, if Ihave a choice, I won;t use any device that relies on a "guillotine" termination. In fact, if I buy something that has those small, blue press-fit terminations, I pitch them in the trash. It's too bad that the RV Mfg.'s install such cheap materials in our RV's. The self-contained receptacles are just the tip of the iceberg, IMO. I recently had to clean the 3" of mud off the load cemter and stove in my TT. The previous owner had a tire blowout, it seems and didn't think it was necessary to replace the plastic wheel well. Those plastic wheel wells are trouble waiting to happen and are indicative of the lack of quality in some RV's. It;s harder for a Mfg. to fudge on electrical systems, though, since it's heavily regulated by code but they seem to keep the mantra of getting by with whatever is the cheapest to make things work.

We use a couple of these portable radiator looking type of oil-filled heaters in our trailer all the time. Its best to use the sites electric than using up your propane.. The oil filled guys are very safe to use since they have no visible flame or heater smell of heated up dust and no noise. Just goes click everynow and then.
This is a low profile version - no where near as tall as those your find at Lowes or Walmart.

If we need to move the heat around the room more than we sit one of these 10-inch O2-Cool fans behind the heater. Works great for us...
My Posts are IMHO based on my experiences - PM me

The DW and DD brought their 1800watt hair dryer and thought they could use it while the AC was running. Not for long. They now bring a 800w (or 1200w?) hairdryer to dry their hair.

we have used a small heater in our last rig and our current one and never had a problem, the receptacles are hooked to breakers that will trip if you over load the circuit.

I've run a small heater for several years. Only problem is when we forget the heater is on and turn on the coffee pot or micro at the same time. But that is a good idea though to run a seperate plug in for the heater. Not really nessecary, but might symplify things.
