Roaming RVers September 7th-9th, 2012 Rally- Ridge Road Campground, GA
The campground is now open for the season and accepting reservations.
Ridge Road Campground is located on a scenic peninsula on J. Strom Thurmond Lake, and is one of the area's first campgrounds.
The 70,000 acre lake and its 1,000+ miles of shoreline provide excellent boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing, hiking and picnicking.
Candy & I visited today and scouted out the park. Sites 25 - 41 look pretty decent, some are deemed waterfront, but the lake level is down right now so the water is not that close. Sites 14 through 24 are spacious and decently separated. Sites in the upper 50's and 60's seem to be tighter and a little too close.

atl john: Stuffed shells
This is an open rally and all are welcome to join in. For newbies, this is a gathering of all kinds of campers, just for camping fun, fellowship and of course plenty of eating. We will get together Saturday night for dinner with a theme and will have an outing of some kind to venture away from the campsite. So y'all come join in for a great camping adventure!
