Hi Everyone,

My turn to brag for a moment. We lost our trailer three weeks ago to the flooding here in central Louisiana. I saw the aftermath, water line three inches up the wall on the inside. Complete total.

Not all bad news though. I made a few dollars on it since I picked it up from an auction. So we bought a new trailer.

It's a 2007 Grand Surveyor GS280. We had three trailers in mind, and our first and third choice had already sold before we even got a second look two days later. But this is still a nice camper and had almost everything I was looking for. While I was at it, I upgraded my hitch from an EZLift to an Equalizer.

Between the new trailer (SO much lighter both in tongue and trailer weight than the last one) and the new hitch, it's like I'm towing nothing. Should be a lot less stressful driving.

So anyways, my new trailer. No shots with it hooked to the truck yet, but next time I'm home, we're heading to the Folk Festival in Arkansas and camper is going with us. And btw, wife LOVES it.

Later,
Tim

2 7lb propane tanks and battery shoved under that cover on the trailer. Don't know how they did it, but they did it.

And actually, trailer came with knives and plates and silverware and glass tupperware. Sales people told me this trailer was used by an oilfield guy up North for a job, but upgraded to something else.

I didn't even realize that they were using 7 lb tanks on trailers. I thought it was standard 20 or 30. lol

Nice looking rig, congrats! Yes, you've got 20 gal tanks by your description of the size, ie, next size up from the bbq tanks.

I thought a 7lb tank was the same thing as a 20 gallon? Likely wrong on my part. Not a lot of sleep lately. It's the tank next size up from a normal grill tank.
