We are soon to be full time RVers. We would like to give our friend the option to see what we are doing. What is the best way to have an on line Travel Log, including pictures and the ability for our friends to make comments. We do not have web site experience and want to keep it simple and cheap.
Thanks

I would recommend Blogger or Wordpress.com. Just sign-up for a free account and off you go! Easy as that. You chose the appearance and write the posts, but the site does everything else for you.

Google blogger is fairly simple and will meet all of you needs. There are templates from which to choose, can upload photos, add commentary and friends can make comments as well.
Enjoy!
Happy Travels!

I would also recommend blogger. I write a blog and it was easy to start and easy to use. Even if no one reads it, it's a great way to remember where you're been and what you did. We frequently use it to remember what sites we stayed on if we want to go back to the park.

Blogger for the blog and Picasa as a place to store your pictures. Have been using both for the last 5 years and they are both very user friendly.

I've tried WordPress, and although it has some advantages over Blogger, I found it less intuitive. You can make a nice-looking blog with either one.

For me thumbs down on blogger since they changed their requirements.
I had a blogger from a year ago. I went to log in and now it is now mandatory to have a face book/google account to access my blogger.
I refuse to have any of my info tied to face book or google they are far from being secure and not selling your info no matter how little you enter. But it now was required to get into my blog.
Wanting to keep my blog I did obtain a face book account providing no real personal info and using my email address I ONLY use for the internet and clicked on NOT public. Planning on NEVER using it just being forced to join to keep my blogger account.
Within one week there was a "like' on my account. It was a real estate company that had lifted my House for Sale by owner ad tied it back to the email address used for face book and there in all blazing glory open to the public was a picture of my house AND address!
BTW: You can NOT remove like links that are put there by other people.
I will check out wordpress mentioned above.
