My dad kept his tt plugged in all winter but had the power to frig turned off. We were dewinterizing and we turned the refrig on and got an error signal. According to the manual (domestic) the message meant not enough current to run the refrig. AC worked fine as well as everything else. Switched refrig to battery and works fine. Propane it works fine.

I will add that the refrig worked fine plugged in the same way and plug last summer and fall.

Any ideas as to the problem?

Have you tried turning it off and letting it set for 15-20 mins then turning it back on with AC power? Sometimes that will reset the controls.

Did I understand correctly that you have a three mode fridge? Lp, Electric and 12 volt? Kind of unusual for a full sized RV fridge. Which of the electric modes does it NOT run on, the 12 volt or 120 volt mode?

A model number would help, but Dometic models do not measure current, they only look for voltage availability, so either the outlet it is plugged in to has no power (the outlet the refrigerator itself- not the whole rig), or the fuse is blown on the circuit board.
My bet is a tripped gfi outlet, and no power to it.

On edit- looking at another thread- circuit board is fried if it was plugged in to 240 vac.

Will the frig work on 110V if the air conditioner is not running? When I have our coach plugged into the patio outlet (20A) I can run the AC or the frig, but not both at the same time on 110V. If I need AC I have to run the frig on propane.

R Pods use a European type Dometic 3 way model and they are very quirky about the control board. It malfunctions all the time. Dometic does not even list this refer on their USA website. Doug
