We went with a 19" VIZIO because it had the lowest power load we could find (20W) including 12V TVs (at a better price too). Works great and has been banged around a lot.

Thanks my original reason for wanting to get a 12 volt TV was that most 12 volts draw less watts, if I can find a 120 volt TV that draws the same or less power than the 12 volt I'll be happy

I once read that studies have shown that most accidents occurr within 10 miles of home, so I moved

Should you decide to change back to a 12V, here is a recommendation by a Pleasure-Way representative at a PW rally last year. www.roadtrucker.com recommended for replacement 12v electronic products. I have not purchased from them, but they have a big selection. Regards, Dick

According to this, the 32" Jensen pulls 90W.

According to this, the 32" VIZIO draws less than 60W. And is about $180 cheaper.

One of the reasons I went with VIZIO is they are one of the few companies who list their power consumption.

26 inch Sanyo works fine for us. It's a Walmart special. Looking to get a smaller one for the bedroom now that we're full timing.

THIS IS THE FLOOR PLAN ON MY 2006 27.5 BHS 5th wheel jayco Jayflight

The floor plan put the TV cabinet in a good location. If I have the TV pointed at the sofa / pull out bed all I have to do is turn the TV 90 degrees to watch it in the bedroom.

My original plan was to get a Jensen 12 volt because their 32 inch set is the largest 12 volt that I know of but I stumbled on this sit that changed my mind about Jensen

HERE IS A LINK TO THE SITE

and this is what they wrote. The basically scared me out of getting any 12 volt because I never heard of any of the manufactures that make 12 volt TVs.
I was reluctantly prepared to pay almost double the price of a 120 volt TV for a 12 volt TV the same size as the 120 volt but I am afraid to spend that much money on a 12 volt and wind up with something that can't be repaired. Also since I will be using the same set to watch TV in the bedroom and sofa, eating area I would like to have something as large as possible without being too heavy.

Th comment below is what scared me into sticking with a more well know brand name TV

================================================
Hello Tom.
Out of my many years of TV repair experience.
Considering your situation, all that gas, mileage and time consuming issues I can give you best advise I am able to.
Jensen - is no-name TV, built somewhere at unknown location with quality that couldn't be lower. People who built your RV were greedy enough to install that "brand" instead of good and reliable one.You know why they replace it instead repairing it? Because there is no parts or technical support for this TV. It is obviously that cheap audio amp that they designed for this TV is not able to handle load and it's just keep blowing.
Save yourself from that nightmare - throw this useless junk away and invest in Sony or Samsung LCD of same size. Any repair attempt will cost you 25%-50% of price for the new one.
And stay away from all those "Radio Shack" brands that have limited production run and then disappear in darkness of today's market.
Regards.
Russ.

Stick with a name brand TV. I know Jensen is an old name but someone has recycled the brand name and attached it to a cheap secondary manufacturer.

I don't have a dog in the fight, but Sam's and Costco are both great places to but tv's. Their return policies are unbeatable.
