Yesterday I saw a motorhome heading east on I-10 in Florida. The roof line caught my eye as it rose steadily to the back. When it went past I saw that the back was a toy hauler ramp door.
This is a new one on me. Does anyone know who makes these things?

Was it black with a Raptor rear door? The was a posting in a Harley Davidson site a while back by a guy who built on out of a class C. Don't remember what year but it was a Shasta.

I think RVnMC got it with his link. The size & shape looked just like the Outlaw. The only difference was this one was white with minimal graphics. This could be a cool unit when I'm no longer full timing in the 5er.

A local dealer had an Outlaw on the lot once... for almost a year. We looked at it for giggles. It had so much wasted space for a class A that really wasn't that long to start with. No one wanted to pay what they were asking for it to have that small of "finished" living area. The garage wasn't that large, but took up too much room in my opinion to make it worth the price. (Not to mention it was funny looking- in my opinion)

There are a few manufactured class C 'toterhomes' available, built mainly on medium duty truck chassis, such as Freightliner M2, International 4000 series, F650/750, etc. I haven't seen a class A 'toterhome' yet, but I'm sure they exist somewhere.

Actually the term toterhome for this style rig is incorrect. A toterhome is designed to pull a gooseneck or 5th wheel style trailer. They take the truck cab and chassis, then add a RV body, and they have a tow deck at the back end. On most of the commercial built rigs this tow deck is about 7 feet long, front to back.
What is being described is called by the manufacturer's a truck conversion motorhome with a garage.
