Marcus,

As a Lifetime Good Sam Member I am considering switching from AAA to Good Sam Roadside Assistance as AAA is playing games with me and will not give me a definitive answer as to whether my 37' Fifth Wheel Tow Hauler will be covered or not if I need a Tow.

I am disabled and tow a small utility trailer from time to time to transport my Harley Davidson Trike. My question is from what I have read it looks like any type of utility trailer is not covered, so is there any way to get my utility trailer covered? I do not want to be stuck on the side of a road with a spare tire looking at my spare but not being able to change it myself.

I would much rather to pay my money to Good Sam instead of another carrier so I will be looking forward to hearing what my options are.

Thank You,

Jim aka "Tugs"

Tugs, I'm sure GS ERS has some provision to cover your trailer. However, if they don't, I know Coach Net Platinum will cover anything you tow, or drive, plus all your family and even a 2nd RV.

You could always sign up at the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) and get free ERS included in your membership. Only $39 per year.

They will tow anything you've got but with a 35 mile limit. After 35 miles you will be charged a mileage rate for additional miles. I figure the mileage rate will cost a lot less than the original service call.

I'm all for supporting Good Sam but loyalty to the dollars in my pocket come first.

Good luck getting an anwser on this. I waited 12 days on same question and never got answer so just edited my post out. I do know the answer now and it cost me $20.00 more when I think it should have only been $17.00 but I am now covered to get my ATV trailer towed along with 5th wheel. This will cover me thru next Feb. then I going to go coachnet.

I tow an enclosed trailer with our Harleys inside. GS told me their platinum coverage would get the trailer towed in if the MH had an issue. I will be interested to see if Marcus concurs.

Actually platinum covers it

As for the sarcasm from Azrdrnr, this is not the place for it. Hope my response to that didn't take too long.

Well, I would be glad to pay the extra $20.00 as AAA is way more expensive. Also, one thing that drives me nuts about this forum is how when a member asks a question some members feel like they have to vent their frustrations and answer with a smart ass answer. FLAME ON as I do not really care, I am only looking an answer from Marcus.
