I am looking to buy one of these. I currently have DirecTV at home and plan to take my receiver with me. I had heard that these satellite dishes may not be compatible with an HD receiver. Is anyone using this combination? Is there anything that may be different with the hook-up?

I have the carry out, it is not cabable of receiving HD on Direct only the standard broadcasts. I receives everything on Dish.

I wasn't thinking that I would be able to receive HD, even standard would be better than none.

I have dish and i use the carryout It is great just put where it has a clear look at southern sky and let it do yhe work you will like it

I have the Carryout and use it with DirecTV HD receivers. You have to reset the recievers for a different dish when using them with the Carryout. Works great but as stated you do not get HD. We don't have HD receivers in the MH so no problem for us. The manual gives the correct settings.

But, does the unit's electronics automatically switch from the 101 satellite to the 119 satellite so one may channel surf between the network channels and the entertainment channels?
Using DirecTV of course.
