How long should chassis batteries last when in storage. It seems mine go dead in about 45 days, I think it is the LP detector and others bring it down. Would it hurt to keep it pluged in or better of pulling the batteries

Chassis computers can draw down the battery on a month or so. Yes, if possible leave it plugged in. Check the batteries on a regular basis and you will always be ready to go.

Buy a Trik-L-Start and you can then not worry about it anymore

To remove all load it is easier to lift the ground cable on the battery. Charge the battery fully first.
It will keep this way for months.

We had a faulty smoke detector that was killing our battery...changed it out and now fine.
