Hello everyone, as you can tell by my other post. I am having problems with my 12 volt lights inside my 1969 Coachmen trailer. Someone has told me to find my 12 volt fuse box, but the only 12 volt fuse I know of is between the battery and going into the trailer. That one should be fine since my porch light works which is wired directly into the red wire coming into the trailer (which is what the other 3 12 volt lights are tied into.) Now what else I have done is only have the porch light wired into the red wire comung into the trailer and the porch light works. Then when I disconnect the porch light and connect the other 12 volt light to the red wire...still nothing. So whatever is wrong must be inside the trailer. So that is where I am at and someone suggested looking for my 12 volt fuse box, but I don't have a clue of where to look for them at. So if some has any ideas I would greatly like to hear them so I will know where to start tomorrow.
Thank you
Jim

Look inside the converter if you have one. Unplug from shore power, unscrew the cover on the converter. If you don't see it easily at this point, back off and check with someone who knows more than you and I do. Good luck.

some common locations for the power distribution box/converter would be behind a plastic panel under the fridge or on the end of a dinette seat, of behind an inspection panel anywhere in the RV. If you have a monitor panel with tank gauges anywhere, those are usually located in the same vacinity as the power center. MOST will have a swing down or out door with louvers to allow air passage to the converter. Usually the door is fairly small with common measurements of less than a foot square down to about a foot by 6". Since 12 volt power does not travel all that well the converter may be located somewhere close to the point where the battery wires enter the trailer but that's just a guess.

In 1969 converters were very rare. I suspect all you have is a fuse holder someplace with one or two glass fuses and one is blown. Or you may have separate fuse holders for the light and pump (if equipped) circuits.

Photos of 1969 Trailer interiors are going to be hard to find on-line... Been looking for 15 minutes now and so far this is the only interior shot of a 1969 Coachman i could come up with. It is of not help however to spot a converter chassis..

Found this shot that Jim may find familar... This is Jim's 1969 Coachman Trailer...

Did find this link for a 1972 OWNERS ANUAL

Lift the dinette cushions and look in the space below the seats. Most of these vintage trailers had just a small terminal strip with a couple of fuses. The fuse strip was usually located close to the battery entrance wiring. If your battery is on the hitch, that would mean close to the front of the trailer.
One thing that would serve you well for diagnosing electrical issues is an inexpensive meter. Harbor Freight always has them for $5-$10.

Sorry, I didn't even think of posting pictures of the inside of the trailer.

That is all the pictures I have of the inside of the trailer at the moment.
Thank you

Thanks, that is my next place to check. Even though with all the times I had the tops off of the seat on the driver side (because that is where the wires come into the trailer at and connect to the wires in the trailer). I sure don't remember seeing any fuses in there. But like I said I will be going to look at that really soon.
I will also take a picture of the inside of that compartment to show what I'm up against.
Thanks

Photos really help... we were all looking for a panel mounted close to the floor that might look something like this. Dont think you have one haha... So now we are looking for just a electrical receptacle somewhere with a screw in fuse maybe hid somewhere behind a cabinet door or inside some storage area. Maybe just two 12VDC fuses that runs your whole trailer DC appliances/Lights... I saw your 120VAC Main breaker setup on another post.

What is the vent panel under your fridge in one of the photos... Is that a heater?
