After thinking about it for a while, apparently 3/4 and 1 ton owner's got screwed into believing that they need higher towing/payload capacities when moving heavier loads when in reality a 1/2 ton can do it all...... You guys and your 1 ton dually's being used for 15,000 lb loads, well your being ridiculous and it is just flat out overkill..

I'm amazed at the OP's powers of observation at 65 MPH...shouldn't you be focused on YOUR driving???? If you were going 65, how do you know how fast those others were doing? If you were looking at somebody's airbags while driving, you clearly weren't paying attendtion to the road....so you have your driving flaws too...just at the speed limit....what, no comment about cell phone use.

Bunch of butt hurt 2500 owners out there......

Not like the OP called your Mom fat. Admit it...there are some stupid 3/4 ton owners out there. Just like there are some stupid 1/2 and 1 ton owners too. Get over the attitudes from some simple and harmless observations and camp.

You must not have passed me, or been passed by me because I'm sure I would have got at least an honorable mention since I'm pulling a FW with an F150. Seriously though, I always look at towing combinations and have been slowly returning from Key West to VA this past couple of days, and I have not seen any squatted, flat tired, pumped up, off-cambered TVs, or anything similar. Yes, I have seen some 3/4t trucks pulling FWs and TTs. I have been passed by some TT combos doing 70+, but not FWs. But, I have one more day on the road and I'll look closer for those very dangerous RVers.

you saw snow birds doing 75 MPH on the road north. You must not be on the same road I was on because most were doing 45 in a 75 zone. all were hazardous to the health of all on the road behind them. I guess they drive 75 going down and 45 going home.

Well, northbound _is_ uphill!

I didn't notice any RV drivers using cell phones or texting. Most of them are old and don't know how to do that anyway.

I did see a lot of "drunk drivers" weaving down the road looking down at their hand held devices.

i bought a 2010 f250 cc short bed to pull my 39ft, 12k dry toy hauler. My 350 dually cc long bed will be ready this tuesday.
On every bridge or dips in the road i felt like my suspension was being really tested.(i have airbags) I had 2k loaded in the garage. On one bridge the bouncing caused the 5th wheel to begin whipping side to side scaring the sh** out of me. I looked at my wife and said im getting a dually.
The 5ver is a tri-axel but still i think i shoulda had water loaded in the grey water tanks which are in front of the axels to offset the weight in the garage and maybe this whipping would not have happened. Too bad the fresh water tank is also behind the axels.
The ride was bouncy and uneven. I also ended up on a muddy road and came upon a corner where i could not back up and got my cab with the 5ver as i had no chance to slide it back.
If this whipping were to ever occur again ill have 6 tires being held down by a 1 ton.

2012 f350 cc lariat dually fx4. 53k how'd i do on price ?
