Wait Wait Wait nobody said anything about the biggest difference between 1 ton and 3/4. PRICE. Yes new 3/4 tons do tow better than the old ones my 2011 chevy tows much better than my 2006 did.

Can't say I've noticed many dangerously loaded or overloaded rigs in many years of RVing. I look around most any campground and the truck/trailer combos look very manageable. Maybe it's an eastern thing. Out west here- if you don't have enough truck or well maintained truck or motorhome (or car for that matter) you will quickly end up on the roadside in a mountain pass with a blown trans or boil over, or worse.
Thats natural selection in the west. What I do find dangerous are the lifted tuned "represent" trucks towing heavy and going wayy too fast. No margins for anything. Now THAT is dangerous.

9 paragraphs, 7 of them "Holier than Thou", One dripping with sarcasm, and finished up with a christian like "Happy Easter". Any wonder the younger generation thinks the churches are full of hypocrites.

Now for the great bumper sticker type thingy on the back of a twucks windshield.

75% of _________trucks are still on the road, 25% of __________made it home!

brands have been changed to protect to guilty.....or is that innocent?

you all realize, no one winds the battle!

off to drive the chebby dully to work! Which by the way, has a whopping 300 more lbs of payload than my C2500 in sig! 4100 vs 3800.

I must be losing my touch.

Actually, I was mostly serious. I saw some horrible looking combinations - so risky I would never subject my family to them. Yet, apparently everyone made it home safely. I guess just because something looks awful and is way out of manufacturers' spec, it's not so bad after all.

PS: _I_ score this post: two dripping with sarcasm and zero "Holier than Thou"

The Russian judge gave you a 1.5 Holier than Thou for the "..and is way out of manufacturers' spec" assumptions.
