Mike Not true. If your grease seals are good, the excess grease will come out at the outside bearing.

Just had mine done by a professional trailer company and they say the hardest thing about the ez lube job is taking the wheels off if there is a hub cap on the wheels. They have never had a problem with getting greese on the breaks with the ez lube system and they use a commercial lube system. Do the job right and you will only need to remove the hubs every 5 years to do a hand pack job said the tech at the trailer shop.

Lol...I can se that... I meant to say, 10 pumps and turn the wheel and so on, indicating as well that you will pump in an entire tube, 10 pumps at a time before turning the wheel it might take about a hundred pumps in total to squeeze a tune through

Not true at all.
The system is well designed...
Like I said above, the grease comes out of the bearing towards you and you catch it in an old mug as it falls out...

Look at the arrows indicating the flow of grease.

I don't believe it's really necessary to pump till all the old grease comes out. Just pump till you get some grease to ooze out and that way it's full... If you are pumping till all te old grease comes out you are running the risk of blowing out the rear seal. When you do pump in the new grease pump it very slowly.

I have been pumping a tube per hub or as long as I have had trailers with ez lube hubs...never once have I had grease pass the inner seal, even on seals that were toast.
As per the manufacturers specification, pump grease till you see new grease.
