We drove out to Oshkosh WI after work Saturday night and "camped out" in our RV in our son's driveway. It was a little chilly at night, but it was still fun. We just burrowed into the blankets with a dog at our feet and everyone was happy!

The grandkids were real excited when they woke up yesterday morning and saw the camper in the driveway. Their dad had a hard time stopping them from coming out and pounding on the doors at the crack of dawn.

We've camped on a lot of holidays, both "urban" camping and out in the wilds. For us, it makes the holiday extra special.

We left out Thursday and and spent the weekend camping in Summersville WV. Came back Sunday (Easter) morning. First time out this year and had a good time. It was a little chilly at night (low 30's to high 20's) but I just threw another log on the fire and turned the heat on in the camper.

The wife and I took the pups down to Newport News VA to visit our kid in college. It was our second trip in the RV (the first was at the end of FEB). We are enjoying the RV much better than the hotel. Nice to have everyone together. I think our daughter misses the dogs as much as mom and dad.

Camped in Showlow, AZ this weekend. It got down to 26 degrees. Glad to have heat during the night. Got to hear a sunrise service on Easter morning as the hymns floated across the lake to us. We spent some time in the Word and enjoyed some hiking and biking at Fool Hollow State Campground. Hearing a bull elk bugle was a treat. Who knew? There is an Easter elk!

Still having fun!

We spent the week at Cherry Hill Park, near Washington, D.C. It was terrific!

We were one of only seven occupied sites (out of 40 something) at a local lake, COE park. We had a great, relaxing, quiet, holiday weekend.

We went to the redwoods on coastal 101. It rained. A lot. We had the place to ourselves, just us and the banana slugs.

We are still on our Easter camping trip.
We spent Easter in camping DC and now were in Williamsburg. Going to head back north tomorrow. Hope everyone had as great a time camping as we did.
