This information is wrong. Just the opposite is true. MOST states are reciprocal states, and collect no sales tax for other-state registrations. CA is one exception, and there may be others, but very few, if any.
I should have qualified my statement first. My research showed that California and Arizona collect taxes first when buying from a dealer. There may be exceptions, but California and Arizona definitely must collect their states taxes when the purchase is made. It's then up to you to correct it with your home state....(unless possession is taken OUTSIDE of that state...sorry for any confusion....Dennis
