Just got a new to us 2006 Georgie Boy Pursuit. Question is:
Should the propane gas tank be turned off when the RV is in use? We keep it in our driveway. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience.

won't hurt to turn it off but it doesn't *need* to be. same when driving...we leave it on for the fridge and for the furnace in fall and winter.
congratulations on your purchase.

Congratulations on your Georgie Boy. The propane gas tank should be turned ON when the RV is in use. The refrigerator, stove and heaterr will not work with the propane off.

Personal choice when not in use. Doesn't hurt to turn it off one less potential fire hazard. I leave mine on pretty much all the time. Probably if I turned it off I would forget to turn it on until I notice my beverages are no longer chilled.

Did you mean "Not in use" or "In use"
Some folks are scared of propane... I don't know why, but then I grew up with it so perhaps I'm more used to it.
I'm more scared of Ethanol than Propane. (And a few related substances).
And alas, you can't turn off those substances.
IF you are parking it (not in use) for an extended period, IE: WInterized. I'd turn off the propane. but if you are "Weekending" it's up to you.

When we are using the MH, it's on. When we are not using the MH...it's in storage...it's off. Why leave it on if you won't be using or needed propane?

It should be turned off when it's in your driveway.

Our Tank is shut off automatically when the house battery switch is off.
Otherwise it is always on.
