The wife is on GF diet and when we go with a group of campers most will have a few drinks in the evening. So I am looking for some recipes for drinks that she can have, we know what she can have just looking for different recipes.

All distilled alcohols are gluten free. Check out this website.

These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about the hereafter... I go somewhere to get something, and then wonder what I'm "here after."

ALL non-grain hard liquors are game as are ALL wines (incl. champagne). Examples of non-grain distilled liquors are non-flavored rum (made from sugar-cane), vodka (made from potatoes) and tequila (made from agave).
There is some evidence that grain-based liquors such as whisky and gin may also be fine (the distillation process supposidly removes all gluten), but there is some controversy on this. See here:
Is Whisky Gluten-free?
Is Gin Gluten-free?
Personally I've been fine with ALL hard liquors including Gin, but we are not Celiac...simply gluten-intolerant. Just make sure the alcohols are pure (i.e. not flavored with grain-based flavors such as barley or malt extract)and make sure you don't mix 'em with anything that is made from grains. Mixers like coke, cranberry juice, orange juice, lime juice etc. are all fine.
The biggest thing to avoid is beer.
At least that's my experience (we're both gluten-free for 2+ years)

It is not hard to avoid Gluten in Alcoholic drinks, there is Gluten Free beer available too.
List of GF Beers
I do not care for beer, so we do not bother to stock the GF type, we just buy regular beer and I stick to G and T.

Maybe not...if you are very gluten-intolerant you may have to be careful with grain-based liquors. There's alot of controversy in the celiac community about whether distillation completely removes gluten from grain-based liquors. Some say yes, but many celiacs report they can't tolerate them. Also the cheaper grain-based liquors, like JW are blends of other, less mature whiskies and some "may" have grain whisky (for color) added back in which can be problematic.
If you're going to drink Whisky single-malt, either double or triple-distilled is likely to a better choice. The extra distillation steps should help to remove any left-over gluten.
Personally I can drink ALL hard liquors with no issues, but for the very intolerant you have to try and test your way forward with the grain-based liquors.

Most wines are GF. Only the really cheap wines are sometimes adulterated with grain alcohol making them not GF.
Most liquors are NOT GF, even the liquors that naturally do not contain the gluten protein, like potato (vodka), rice (sake), or rum (sugar cane). I've read different reasons for this; most say contamination or adulteration for taste.
The only liquor I know for fact that is GF is Luksusowa vodka

I wish I could find some cheap JW I wouldn't call 12 years immature either.
