They work on the principle of: you can't prove a negative.
They must work against elephants too, because you never see one in an RV!!!

I live out in the country with field mice around. This rat zapper has caught many mice.

I bet they work every bit as good as deer whistles. If you believe in them, then they must work. If nothing else it's good for the economy...

When not camping, I have to work and in my case that's in the oil and gas industry. I live in what we call a skid house on drilling locations. There are usually 5 or 6 houses almost identical to mine on location. I have the Black and Decker units in my house and haven't seen a mouse inside to date. The other houses on location DO have mice problems. They prefer to use mouse traps and glue traps and catch mice all the time. I do keep a few of the glue traps but have yet to catch anything in one. I would say the B&D's work great.

I use to whistle to get deer's attention or get them to come close.
They seem to enjoy it.
They need to quit whistling all those deer to come close to the road.
No wonder there are so many hit by cars.

Yes, I use them to help keep mice out of my minivan (which is always parked outside).
My take on them: Mice are going to hunt around for the best nesting site they can find. The pest repellers make an area somewhat less desirable, but if it's still the best they can find, they'll still nest there. Using multiple sources of repellant (odor and sound, for instance) helps to decrease the pleasantness of a potential nesting site, and can work a little better. But they still might end up nesting there if it's still the best site they can find. The only way to REALLY keep them from nesting is to seal off all possible entrances. I did this in my camper (it's hard to get them all - there was one under my tub!) and haven't had a mouse in there for three years.

Neighbor bought one and it works like a charm.
He has it set to " Zulu head hunter". I have not seen a Zulu head hunter around his house ever.

We have a Black & Decker device and used it all witner in our house in the basement. Put it in the 5er 3 weeks ago because we had an infestation of the asian beetles. ,running it on low and quiet didnt seem to clear them out but when I would leave the camper, I would turn it up on high and walk away. Two days like that and they disappeared or died on the floor but not more beetles or aphids. I used a plug in type many years ago in a camp ground infested with wolf spiders and after I plugged it in the spiders didnt bother my camper. I have no evidence that the devices work except it seems my problems cleared up after employing them. Science or conincidence? It is peace of mind.
