Probly doesn't weigh all that much. Easy enough to find out, take it to a scale and weigh it....

we're trying to find out so we can buy the hitch TO pull it... guess i'm starting to regret asking on here, as i'm feeling more stupid & pathetic for asking than i am grateful for the kind of helpful replies i saw to other posters of "obvious" questions...

I just looked it up and came up with a 13'.
Weight: 1500 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 225 lbs.
The brochure showed a 13' - 16' - and a 19' trailer.
No mention of a 14'
Model 13G: 3 burner range W/oven
Model 13C: ice box, 12 volt light
Overall body length: 11'
(Type in 1968 Yellowstone Brochure) on your search page!
Hope this helps!
Good Luck & Drive Safe!

I wont even guess at the weight but a decent half ton should be fine. Our firswt camper was a 15 ft'er and I pulled it with a 1/2 ton Chevy cargo van witha 6 cyl. We only camped within 30miles of home but got along fine. I would suggest sway control, if now WD also. Wish I would have seen this last July, I gave away the exact set up that I pulled that old camper with. By the way, dont feel like these are stupid questions ,its what you dont know that can hurt you! Also, nice looking old camper there.

Sorry if I offended you somehow. That was not my intention.

A common 6000 lb class 3 hitch receiver and appropriate height ball mount with appropriate diameter ball, both in 6000 lb weight rating, will be plenty of hitch to pull the trailer with. This is all run of the mill towing equipment for a basic 1/2-ton truck or SUV.

I don't venture a guess at the weight of a trailer based on looking at a picture of it. There are way too many variables for a guess to even be remotely accurate.

That is why I said take it to a scale.

You didn't say you were trying to decide the hitch rating needed, in order to pull it. You also didn't give any information about the vehicle you're intending to pull it with.

I assumed you towed the trailer there, somehow, likely with the truck that is partially shown in the picture. That truck, by the looks of it, should be able to get the trailer to a scale and back safely.

My guess would have been "less than 3500 lbs".

quick reply to all replies (lol)

quick trip: thanks, i didn't think to use the word "brochure" in my search, tried every other combination and term though (go figure, huh?) so glad to know we won't be hurting our big babies by using them together!!

tom_diane: where in iowa? we're currently by des moines, but moving north a bit more to Butler county and wonder where good places for camping are?? Any suggestions?

SoCal: blame it on a long weekend, half-asleep, and PMS but i *did* mention the pic wasn't ours, just a pic of one like ours so that isn't our truck either lol... i think the pic was off a for sale posting somewhere in your area, actually...

kennedy - thanks for the tip! there's a vent up above that has been replaced, and no apparent water damage inside, and we've had some rainy weather recently so i'm assuming the replacement is sealed well but we will keep an eye on it! we bought a used car once that ran wonderfully for a couple months then it became apparent the dealership had covered problems up (including 5 leaking, rusted fuel lines...) so we're always leery when buying something used now

**update**

we found a tow hitch at the salvage yard on a truck identical to ours they were parting out for less than half the cost of new. moved it even though it had supposedly sat unused for 2 years, everything with the hookup went smoothly and tires didn't give out (lol) so we're going to cross our fingers for our first trip with it, moving our stuff to our new place hopefully we'll have a chance to go camping this year now that we've got a working (if not a bit dated and dirty) camper to use !! Thanks for your help, everyone! especially quick trip for that extensive specs list! much appreciated
