I always get great help and/or advice so here is another question.
in the rear bedroom of the Bounder it appears that there used to be 2 night stands next to the bed,(they were gone when I bought the rig) however there are two set of "something" coming out of the floor, it's clear that it is a wiring harness of some sort, my guess is so that the night stands had power outlets on them, I'm in need of more power outlets in the bedroom, so my question is - do I have to find the other end of this harness or can I just cut into the wiring and add a outlet to each power supply,(One on each side of the room) this would give me more power outlets which are needed, but how many can I add ? and do I just cut into it ? or must I find the other end of the harness, I have looked and have found nothing that looks as if it plugs into what is lying on the floor.
Once again Thanks for any Help and/or Thoughts on this issue.

I'll check for power, do I need to be plugged in ? or just battery ?
also, I do have a meter, but for the Battery what setting would I set it at ? and I'll check it in the morning.
Thanks

Before you start cutting it you should know if it hot or not and if is it DC or AC. You need a multimeter to do that. AC will kill you.
You also should disconnect the wires from power before you cut anything so you have to find the power source. A test light or multimeter will tell you that.

leave the power on and check for AC and DC power. you'll need a volt meter or multi-meter with probes. a multi-meter would be best as you can test for both AC and DC power. and for goodness sakes don't cut into any of the wires until...a) you know if the lines are live; b) you've identified the type of power and; c) you cut the power to those lines...and verify with your meter that they are dead.
using a multi-meter is pretty simple. set it to AC power and then use the red and black probes to determine if power is present. touch one probe to each terminal on the connector. if no reading then change the meter to DC and try again.
can you take a photo of the connector and post it?

yes, I agree not to cut into anything until I'm sure, in the morning I will take a picture of this strange looking "thing" and post it, at the same time I will get out the meter and try using it, I just bought it and am still learning how to use it.
so I'll update this in the morning, thanks to all...
See you in the am...

If you have meter set on AC and there is no reading it won't make a difference to switch it to DC. For a simple live/not live test pay more attention to the voltage range of the meter. AC will be around 110 volts, DC around 12.
