The Camp Store is usually pretty well stocked by then. There is a small general store about 1/4 mile from the CG towards Saxis that has limited hrs. Other than that, you will be about 8 miles from the closest Super Market (Food Lion). Chinkoteague is about a 1/2 hr drive from the Cg and there are plenty of places open to eat at should you like. You will have a great time, and most likely they will be serving some kind of food at the CG.

Go over to Chincoteague to the visitor centr. Lots to learn there about life on the marshes. Drive, bike or walk the trails back onto the dunes and see the wild horses. The timeing might not be right but there ar awesome flocks of migratory birds that use that area as part of their flyway.

There will be a pit bbq guy at the campground serving food friday and Saturday.
There is also a few seafood places between TP and chincoteague.

Just as you cross over the Virginia line from Maryland on US 13 on the right is a very good seafood store. Sue's, she has fresh local fish , crabs and crab meat. oysters (The chincoteague oysters are among the best I know of) and clams. If your into seafood you will be well served. Her shop is in the first group of stores on the right after the Virginia Welcome Station, it is not easy to spot.
