We always go I81 to I84 from Tenn. to New England every summer (Class A towing Saturn Vue). We've never had any problems other than as mentioned about the big rig traffic thru Wilkes Barre Scranton area.

Only concern is that it can be quite foggy early in the morning from Pine Glen to Wilkes Barre.
